” I JUST HOPE TO CONVEY SOME EMOTION TO THE VIEWERS. IF THIS HAPPENS, YOU CAN SAY THAT I HAVE ACHIEVED MY PURPOSE. I TRY TO BE VERY HONEST WITH EMOTIONS THAT I APPLY IN MY PHOTOGRAPHS. I USE PHOTOGRAPHY AS THE BEST WAY TO SHOW THE FEELINGS I CAN NOT EXPRESS IN WORDS OR DEEDS. FOR ME, MY PHOTOS ARE MY TRUE LANGUAGE. A LANGUAGE THAT CAN BE UNDERSTOOD BY ANYONE WHO WANTS TO SEE WHAT I DO. I KNOW SOME OF MY PHOTOS MAY SEEM SHOCKING, HARD OR EVEN TERRIFYING BUT I BELIEVE THAT THE ESSENCE OF PHOTOGRAPHY IS THE CRUDENESS OF FEELINGS. I THINK THAT THE PHOTOGRAPHY IS A CATHARSIS AND ALSO A WAY TO REMOVE THE SUGGESTIVE AND DISPLAY SUGGESTED, THE REALITY…”

HIS WORK DIFFUSES RELIGIOUS SYMBOLICS BY PRISMING THROUGH PSYCHO MOTIVES. FELIX TOUCHES CHAOTIC REARS.  WHAT IS BEHIND THE SOLID LIMITS OF HUMAN NATURE? THE IRRATIONALITY? OUR SUBCONSCIOUSNESS?

DT 500 ZINE: – Felix, what is your origin?

FELIX: – The need to convey what I feel. That also helps me to know something more about me, these aspects are very hidden but containing much information about who I am. I guess that the origin is the need to communicate with people through my photos.

DT 500 ZINE: –  Try to explain creativity?

FELIX: – For me, it’s not creativity, it is an impulse that cannot be avoided, but once is a form of creativity itself. It is communication.

” Creativity is a language that’s transmitted in the correct form because it has achieved the objective. I’m still in the process of self-discovery.”

DT 500 ZINE: – Why photography?

 

FELIX: – I’m interested in beauty in any form. Painting, writing, architecture, photography… To me, photography is significant as any other form of beauty.

DT 500 ZINE: – What is the big on your mind right now?

 

FELIX: –  I guess all artists have recurring items. For example, in my photographs, I repeatedly the religious symbolism and masks… That means that religion and identity are part of my influence?

  

” The public is influencing me.”

DT 500 ZINE: – The agenda a la Felix Velvet?

 

FELIX: – From my part, to communicate my emotions and feelings. Nothing else.

  

” It’s a statement of honesty -that’s the key.”

DT 500 ZINE: – Something to achieve?

 

FELIX: – My photos are like the pages of the diary of my life, and I still have much to do. I want to feel satisfied; I want the people who want to see my photos also feel comfortable.

  

” I want you to surprise me with each step I take. Learn along the way from every achievement and every frustration.“

DT 500 ZINE: – Coming plans?

 

FELIX: – At this point, I want to go further. I try a fusion of my work with different styles and learn new things and other perspectives on my photos. My pictures can work in many directions. I like to innovate and collaborate… have no limits. Non-stop!
